A new way to enjoy the streets and celebrate our city
Walk Oakland Bike Oakland is proud to bring car-free open streets events to Oakland. Our inaugural event in 2010 brought over 4,000 people into the heart of Oakland to experience the city’s best natural and architectural assets, outdoor activities, and arts in some of our most well-loved and unique streets and neighborhoods.
Join us for many great performances, live music and games while walking and biking around the lake! There will be salsa dancing, belly dancing, Taiko drumming, martial arts performances, sports games, free bike rentals, bike rodeo, hula hooping, pedal and paddle on the lake and much more. You can watch or jump right in and join the fun! If you have a non-commercial activity you would like to contribute, please contact Sarah Kipnes, firstname.lastname@example.org.
