This hour-long story-telling tour is in the form of a downloadable MP3 file that can be played on portable MP3 players and smartphones. This tour begins at PLACE for Sustainable Living, a volunteer-run space that fosters sustainable living practices through art, community, and ecology. Be prepared to take an engaging journey through the history, the present, and future of a neighborhood that is currently undergoing rapid change. The audio tour explores these questions: • What keeps a neighborhood sustainable for the people who inhabit it? • How are basic needs being covered like food, water, shelter, and places to raise the young? • What visions of the future do the locals have for the Golden Gate District? Williams' interviews are with current and former residents and small business owners. From learning about how the Golden Gate District was green long before the urban farming movement arrived, to exploring how a local yarn store propriet
